BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby closed and abandoned Peachtree Street, Buckley Street, and an alleyway located southwest of East Main Street, northwest of Dodds Avenue, more particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference: Peachtree Street, a 40 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the northeast line of East 16th Street some 308 feet northwest of the intersection of the northeast line of East 16th Street with the northwest line of Dodds Avenue, and extending northeast 140 feet between parallel lines. Said street separates lots 1 and 3, and part of lot 5, block 13, from lots 1 and 2, and part of lot 3, block 14, Revised Plat of the Dodds Place, as shown by plat of record in plat book 7, page 44, ROHC. Tax Map No. 156C-Q-8 and 11. Buckley Street, a 30 foot wide unopened right-of-way beginning on the northeast line of East 17th Street 360 feet southeast of the intersection of the northeast line of East 17th Street with the southeast line of Watkins Street, and extending northeast 545.7 feet between parallel lines to the northeast line of East 16th Street (abandoned by City of Chattanooga Ordinance No. 8433). Said street separates lots 15-22, block 12, Revised Plat of the Dodds Place, as shown by plat of record in plat book 7, page 44, ROHC, from the Alabama Great Southern Railroad right-of-way. Tax Map No. 156F-A-1 and 1.1. A 20 foot wide unopened alleyway beginning on the northwest line of the Alabama Great Southern Railroad right-of-way 180.25 feet southwest of the intersection of the northwest line of said railroad right-of-way with the southwest line of East Main Street, and extending northwest some 199.67 feet between parallel lines to the southeast line of lots 8 and 15, block 16. Revised Plat of the Dodds Place, as shown by plat of record in plat book 7, page 44, ROHC. Said alleyway separates lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, block 16, from lots 16, 17, 18, and 19, block 16, said Dodds Place subdivision. Tax Map No. 156C-Q-13, and 156F-A-1.1. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
